Grace ("Commando")
An absolutely amazing Woman and Athlete, Grace has made incredible performance gains, health gains and confidence gains since throwing herself into CrossFit. Grace's commitment to her sport of Triathlons and her desire to improve not only her performance, but herself have paid huge dividends. She is truly an outstanding Athlete in the gym and an outstanding person in life, and we'd like to think that CrossFit StPete has contributed to that in some small sense. Thanks for being a part of our community and one of our dearest Friends Grace!
Stephen
Stephen is relativity new to CrossFit, but decided it was time to make a change. Once he committed, he gave it his all and has mad health and performance gains to prove it. Stephen has taken full advantage of the "get down to Business" atmosphere of CrossFit StPete. His fitness gains, attitude, and presence in the gym have made a huge impression on Trainers and Members alike. Way to crush it Stephen!
Barbara
Barbara is another long-time member who's humble beginnings stretch all the way back to Haines Road. She not only had the guts to CrossFit, but to do it while dodging some of the less savory characters in the area. "Barbara" comes from the Latin and means "Foreign Woman" as in "Barbarian". Our Barbara is anything but foreign as one of our longest serving members, but she kicks ass as well as any Visigoth! And yes, that IS a 100-pound back squat to full depth. GRRRRrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Bobby ("Thumbelina")
Bobby came to CrossFit StPete happy with his current state of "fitness", but looking for something more challenging than a workout at the Globo Gym followed by some ping-pong and a frosty beverage. He wanted to find the hidden beast in the that golfer's body...
Sarah
A firefighter paramedic, wife of a Driver Engineer (both of them working for St. Pete Fire Department), and mother or two, Sarah not only attacks every day with enthusiasm, but also crushed the Paleo Challenge, and took the top spot for CrossFit StPete’s women. Already a CrossFit “junkie”, Sarah found the increases in energy and performance from Paleo too good to ever relinquish, and is now hard-core Paleo.
Brian
One of the fiercest CrossFit StPete Paleo Challenge competitors, Brian found that what initially was a 30-day challenge is turning into a life-style change that is full of health and performance increases. Despite being a relative new-comer to CrossFit StPete, Brian has shown that consistency and hard work make up for any previous fitness shortcomings.
Caterina
A highly motivated woman who has seen a ton of progress at CrossFit StPete in the last eight months, Caterina is well on her way to being one of the dominators in the gym. When she started with us, Caterina was suffering from some range of motion issues as a result of a car wreck. Eight months later, in a Bruce Banner-like transformation, she's shaping up to be a serious contender for our next big competition in October! Way to go!
George
George has been a fixture at CrossFit StPete for nearly a year is one of the hardest working and most motivated guys you'll ever meet. Not only is George fully committed to CrossFit, he's out there hitting the streets daily telling anyone who'll listen about the huge difference it's made in his health and fitness. George is the epitome of the individual CrossFitter and a foundation of our CrossFit Community.
Linae
Linae will tell you she is a triathlete first and foremost; that's why she works out at CrossFit StPete. However, Linae is also one of our most dedicated and consistent CrossFit athletes. Her terrific gains in performance and fitness speak for themselves. Her goal-setting and entry into CrossFit competitions are solid proof she’s a CrossFit animal.
Matt
Matt has been with CrossFit StPete for nearly three years and in that time he has made monster gains in fitness, strength, and endurance. As a self-described globo-gym devotee, Matt had held the typical definitions of strength and fitness as his standard: does it look good at the beach.
