About Me
My interest with fitness began when I entered the Army over 18 years ago. I've deployed over-seas numerous times and spent too many years to mention living in the deserts and other "garden spots" of the world. I've been a tank platoon leader and spent over eight years in Special Operations as a Quartermaster Officer. I'm currently stationed at MacDill Air Force Base. I grew up in St. Petersburg before joining the Army and am glad to be back home, enjoying family, friends, and the Good Life.
Those events, places, and people I've experienced, have taught me that I can never be too ready for almost any physical or mental challenge. As a result of that necessity, during my career I've improved my fitness, skills, abilities, and knowledge to meet those challenges. In that time, I've been exposed to many methods and modes of training both inside and outside the military, and have learned much about what is effective and what is a waste of time with regards to fitness and ability to perform in real-life situations at peak capability. CrossFit is what works, hands-down.
I was introduced to CrossFit as part of the US Army's Special Operations training regimen and have be consistently impressed with the results. Every day is a new training adventure with CrossFit; much the same as in life. The challenges are varied, if not random, and train one to become good at almost every physical challenge. No matter if its lifting a trunk-load of groceries, pitching the best baseball game of your life, running a 5k, or dragging an unconscious person out of harm's way, CrossFit is the most effective way I've found to prepare yourself to maximize your potential.
I enjoy the challenges of each day's workout and enjoy coaching and teaching people to achieve their best performance no matter if they are brand new to CrossFit, or have been doing it for years.
My fitness training includes CrossFit Level I certification as well as CrossFit Olympic Lift, and Barbell (powerlifting) Certifications. My military training includes Airborne, Rigger, SERE, and several other qualifications.
